Chef de Mise ("the App") is developed and operated by Grid Heap (Shanghai Gezihui Technology Co., Ltd.) ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.

The App is designed with a privacy-first architecture: all data processing happens on your device. We do not operate servers that collect, process, or store your personal data.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We want to be explicit about what we do not do:

• We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information.
• We do not collect, transmit, or store your recipes, photos, or any content you create.
• We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or any third-party tracking services.
• We do not serve advertisements.
• We do not sell, share, or monetize any user data.

3. On-Device AI Processing

The App uses on-device machine learning models (including OCR vision models) for recipe recognition and text extraction. These models:

• Run entirely on your device using Apple's Neural Engine and local MLX inference.
• Are downloaded once from our content delivery server (superplanner.ai/mise/) and stored locally.
• Never send your images, text, or any processed data to any server.

4. Device Permissions

The App may request the following system permissions:

• Camera — Used exclusively for scanning recipes via OCR. Photos are processed on-device and are not uploaded anywhere.
• Photo Library — Used exclusively to import recipe images for OCR recognition. Selected images are processed locally and are not transmitted.
• Notifications — Used for timer alerts. No data is sent externally.

You can revoke any permission at any time through your device's Settings app.

5. Local Data Storage

The App stores your recipes, settings, and preferences locally on your device using an on-device SQLite database and local key-value storage. This data:

• Remains on your device under your control.
• Is included in your device's standard backup process (iTunes/Finder backup).
• Can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the App.

6. iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you choose to enable iCloud Sync, the App uses Apple's iCloud Key-Value Storage and CloudKit to synchronize your recipes and settings across your devices. This data is:

• Transmitted and stored by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy.
• End-to-end encrypted by Apple's infrastructure.
• Not accessible by us — we have no access to your iCloud data.

iCloud Sync is disabled by default and only activates when you explicitly enable it in the App's settings.

7. Model Downloads

When you first use the AI features, the App downloads machine learning model files from superplanner.ai/mise/. This download:

• Uses a standard HTTPS connection to retrieve the model weights.
• Does not transmit any personal data, device identifiers, or usage information.
• Is a one-time download that is cached locally on your device.

Our content delivery infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers + R2) processes standard HTTP request logs that may include IP addresses. These logs are transient and managed by Cloudflare under their privacy policy. We do not analyze or store these logs.

8. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. Since the App does not collect any personal data from any user, no special provisions are required. The App is safe for users of all ages.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

• 从我们的分发服务器（superplanner.ai/mise/）一次性下载后存储在本地。
• 绝不会将你的图片、文字或任何处理结果发送到任何服务器。

4. 设备权限

• 我们无法访问——我们对你的 iCloud 数据没有任何权限。

iCloud 同步默认关闭，只有你在 App 设置里手动开启后才会生效。
